Metra Park
draws many diverse events throughout the year. State tournaments for
school athletics start in the spring; Montana Fair dominates August;
October brings in the
NILE Rodeo;
and the
Billings Bulls hockey team plays throughout the winter.
The
Yellowstone Art Museum, the
Moss
Mansion and the Depot let visitors explore a glimpse of
Billings in its’ earlier years. Browsing through the many antique
shops and art galleries downtown may round out a very pleasant
afternoon.
For those
traveling for medical purposes, Billings has two nationally
recognized, award winning hospitals – St. Vincent’s and Billings
Deaconess. If you are in need of a skilled specialist, look no
further. Many excellent specialists and surgeons are only a phone
call away.
Big Splash
Water Park and Geyser Park provide summer fun in town. You will get
a roar out of visiting the lions and all of his many different furry
friends at ZooMontana! If you are more adventurous, head to Red
Lodge. Hiking, mountain biking, river rafting, skiing, snowmobiling
and shopping are all possible after a one hour drive from Billings.
During the summer months, Red Lodge is the way to go for a very
scenic route into
Yellowstone Park.
Billings
is home to three colleges for those pursuing higher education.
MSU-Billings,
Rocky Mountain College and MSU College of Technology offer
programs to suit anyone’s choice of learning.
